Disasters are part of human history. in India, around 34000 lives are lost every year due to natural calamities, 25 out of 35 states and Union Territories are disaster prone. The Vulnerability can be reduced by the Management capacity of the people.Considering these factors, DMRT was promoted to improve the coping capacity of the vulnerable people and rehabilitate the affected throughout India.The inspiration for the DMRT has been the vision of Tamil Mamani Shri. S.Adhichan.
